For the last 20 years, I’ve been diving into the fossil-rich waters of the Gulf of Mexico in Southwest Florida. My love for fossil hunting started as a child when my parents would take me to Venice Beach to search for shark teeth along the shore. I was so fascinated by these ancient treasures that I would ride my bike to explore the local creeks, eager to find more. Today, I’ve turned that childhood passion into a full-time career as a fossil diver and charter captain, guiding others on their own fossil-hunting adventures.
While it was once all about discovering fossils for myself, the real joy now comes from helping my clients uncover their own treasures. Watching the excitement on their faces when they find something amazing makes every trip special. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing people share the same enthusiasm for fossil hunting that I’ve had all these years. My goal is to give everyone the best opportunity to find a massive Megalodon shark tooth, along with a variety of other prehistoric fossils.
Our trips often lead us to incredible finds from the Ice Age, including teeth and bones of the mighty Colombian mammoth, giant creatures that once roamed Florida. We also uncover Mastodon teeth, as well as fossilized remains of other extinct animals like horses, bison, armadillos, ground sloths, bears, dugongs, and even whales. The rarest fossils we come across include those of sabertooth cats, dire wolves, and jaguars—true gems for any fossil enthusiast.
Each adventure we take creates lasting memories for our clients, with a chance to find that prized Megalodon shark tooth to show off to family and friends. Our scuba diving trips depart from Venice Beach, Florida, the world-famous “Shark’s Tooth Capital.”
In addition to our diving excursions, we offer unique airboat tours along the Peace River, near Arcadia, Florida. These trips, aboard our custom 10-passenger airboat, provide another opportunity to search for ancient fossils. I’ve spent decades exploring these waters and know the best spots to unearth hidden treasures, especially the elusive Megalodon shark teeth.
